The LIFE Ballesteros project organizes a free course on sustainable agriculture aimed at farmers and ranchers in the area. The training will take place from November 9 to 13, 2026, in Villar de Olalla and will have a certified duration of 20 hours.
During five afternoons, issues related to the Common Agricultural Policy, organic and regenerative agriculture, agro-environmental programs, and other tools that can help improve the management of farms and their adaptation to the current needs of the territory will be addressed.
The places are limited and require Pre-registration.
Sustainable agriculture linked to the territory
Agricultural activity forms part of the landscape of the Ballesteros Lakes and maintains a direct relationship with the soil, water and biodiversity of the surrounding area.
This sustainable agriculture course in Cuenca aims to bring farmers and ranchers practical information about different production models, available subsidies, and measures that can be applied on farms.
The training will allow for a better understanding of the environmental characteristics of Ballesteros and the actions carried out by the LIFE project to recover its lagoons and associated habitats, with the collaboration of the local agricultural sector.
